I’m not ashamed to admit that after election day last week I was a mess. I was so sad, and I just didn’t know how to pick myself up and move forward. I ended up calling my mom and asking her to make us some Matzoh Ball soup. I LOVE my mom’s matzoh ball soup. It’s the best in the world, and I’m not the only one who says it. Because it’s true. I developed an allergy to gluten 8 years ago and one of the things I was heartbroken about was missing my mom’s matzoh balls. But she has come up with a new gluten free recipe, and while it will never be as good as the delicious gluten filled dumplings, it fits the bill.

The reason that everyone is always trying to cram chicken soup down your throat when you are sick is because it is so good. Plus you are getting hydrated and veggies, and all warmed up from that delicious broth. I see an acupuncturist and he is all about cold foods vs. warm foods. He is pro anything in soup form, so I feel like I am ticking a LOT of healthy boxes when I get my chicken soup on.
I live across the street from an amazing Pho restaurant, and you’ll never guess what I get there at least once a week… that’s right! Chicken Soup! It’s the best, no matter what the origin!
So if you are still feeling down, and tell me, who isn’t? Get you to a bowl of soup my friend!
