We started On The Rag Mag for a number of reasons:
• The current political climate.
• The fact that a lot of our favorite feminist periodicals were pissing us off.
• We have personal blogs that we post at sporadically, and we thought if we banded together we might just have enough content for one really great site.
It ain’t all about periods and stuff, it ain’t just about feminism, but because we do bleed and we are feminists, that informs everything we do.
More about us:
Angie lives in a house with a Greg, two cats, and some plants. She works in an office doing officey type things. In her free time she enjoys playing music, drawing, and fantasizing about unicorns, zombies, and werewolves. You can find more of her writing at kissthechicken or follow her on twitter: @kisstheechicken
Melissa, known to the world as the foremost Glitter Technician, is the mother of two beautiful children and has two beautiful buckteeth. She currently spends her time making all kinds of quirky items and selling them in her Etsy shop. You can find more of her writing & her wares on her self titled site Melissa Nelson-Stippich.
Sometimes we just like to do stuff all together, you know like go to the bathroom, or write. That's what lady friends do, OK?
Tawnya lives in Salt Lake City, spending her days trying to figure out how to preserve digital data and her nights watching Star Trek: Voyager with her cute husband and two cats. She's also busy gardening, learning to cook fancy meals, and delving into the mysteries of unwanted facial hair removal.
Tracy lives in a tiny, blue house with her dude, her dogs and her cat. She is the bossypants of a web development and graphic design department, but in her spare time enjoys playing dress-up, eating clementines and covering anything she can with sparkles. She fears mutant hillbillies, Scientology and people who don't watch tv.
Her floors definitely have a waxy, yellow buildup.
